An introduction to Humanitarian Clowning and Laughter & Play Facilitation
Join Clowns Without Borders UK for a joyful and thoughtful exploration of our unique approach to clowning for humanitarian and community settings. We introduce you to Humanitarian Clowning through games, activities and discussions to develop a humanitarian perspective, looking at how we can embed cultural and emotional sensitivity in our practice. Practical training in our Laughter and Play Facilitation Method follows. You'll discover a hands-on, playful, and inclusive approach to facilitating groups, developed through our experiences with refugee and displaced communities around the world.
The space will be safely led by experienced facilitators with first hand understanding of clowning in humanitarian settings.
This workshop is suitable for those with or without clowning and performance experience. It is for anyone with interest or experience in community arts practice, and who is up for some creative play, learning and sharing together. Are you facing barriers to participation? Please get in touch to talk about how we could make this workshop accessible to you, including bursary spaces. Join us to:
